DonateLife Week

The campaign DonateLife Week, from July, 28th until August, 4th, is empowered by Organ and Tissue Authority. The main goal is to encourage more Australians to register to be an organ and tissue donor. Also, to have a chat about it with their family and friends.
Familywise Medical Practice, in support of Organ and Tissue Authority, wants to inspire you all to make a real difference to the lives of others. By registering and telling your family you want to be a donor you will help other’s lives.
So every year is run DonateLife Week! A national awareness week dedicated to promoting organ and tissue donation.
Would like to become an Organ Donor? Register as Organ Donor Today
To kick off DonateLife Week, tune into SBS Viceland at 5.30pm Sunday 28 July to watch the Dying to Live documentary.
Deep beneath the complex world of organ and tissue transplantation are the heart-wrenching stories of real people awaiting life-saving organ and tissue transplantation in Australia. Dying to Live is an Australian-made documentary film which explores these questions around organ donation through the eyes of ordinary Australians waiting, donating and campaigning. The film looks at the hope and life that complete strangers can offer each other. Ultimately, it is a story of compassion and the life-saving impact we can all have if we make the decision to become organ donors. The film is sure to touch your heart and challenge your mind.
