Familywise Medical Practice is predominantly a bulk billing practice. Overseas/Non medicare card holders will incur private fees. Any new patients booked in with Dr Julie Son will also incur private fees. Please ring to enquire Dr Julie Son’s fees.

All workers compensation and motor vehicle accident patients are required to pay their accounts at the time of consultation until a letter of liability is produced from their insurance company.

Payment is required on the day of the consultation and can be made by cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card (excluding Diners).

We request that you limit each consultation to one health issue and if you feel that you need more than 15 minutes with your doctor, please request a longer consultation for complex or multiple medical issues, comprehensive annual check-ups and GP management or mental health care plans. If you are unsure whether a long appointment is required, please ask one of our friendly receptionists.

Home visits are available on request for existing patients of the practice with prior arrangement.
Please call the surgery early in the morning to discuss.
Home visits apply to local area only and these visits are not bulk-billed.

We normally require people to make a booking but we can sometimes help if you walk into the Medical Practice. Appointments & emergencies will be given priority treatment.

If you are unable to attend an appointment, please contact us to cancel or change your time as a fee may be charged for failure to attend with less than 4 hours notice (not claimable through Medicare).
